Victory Ranch – “Donde Viven Alpacas”

If you’re at all familiar with Mora County, you probably know the iconic Victory Ranch.  Ideally located one mile north of Mora on Hwy 434, the ranch consists of lush sub irrigated (vegas)  and irrigated fields with a backdrop of the Rincon Range mountains.  Varied improvements lend the ranch the ability to adapt to numerous possibilities.  Currently used to raise and board alpacas, as well as to market alpaca wool yarn and goods, it’s suitable as a retreat, equestrian facility or dude ranch.  Ten elk permits currently associated with the property. Three homes, 7 stall garage plus warehouse, retail facility and large barns and corrals complement the 1006 acre parcel of ground.

The National Fish Hatchery is surrounded by Victory Ranch on three sides, lending a natural draw to tourism.

The Golden Ranch is Your Golden Opportunity! SOLD!!

If you’ve longed for a place to hang your hat and have room to roam, either on a full or part time basis, you’ll want to look at the Golden Ranch.  Located in a box canyon at Los Hueros, just outside of Ocate, NM, you’ll find privacy, peace, quiet and amazing beauty here.  The property consists of  1083 acres of forest and pasture, both on the valley floor and on the mesa top, with some pretty interesting terrain between (and equally interesting views – fantastic!).  The ranch includes two characterful cabins, one with ‘facilities’ the other without.  Each is a one bedroom unit and each feels homey and welcoming with wood features that suit their setting.  Well maintained apple orchard.  Big open pasture with some (as of yet) unverified water rights.  Sellers are applying for elk permits now.  Homes come furnished so you’re ready to settle right in

The tracts are contiguous to one another (the 778 acres sits to the south of the 305 acres).  As always, click on the red links to see more data!

MORE COMMENTS:  The property is surveyed in two parcels, and are being sold as a whole.  The 778 acre parcel may be sold separately, but must sell first, and is listed at $700 per acre.  (I’ll have a separate listing for it uploaded soon.)  When you see the topographical overlays, below, you’ll understand why.

The Golden Ranch has been used recreationally (and lightly at that!), but could be developed as a retreat/campground or ranch/farm that supports animals.  Small orchard and gardens in front of the cabins were managed organically by a prior tenant, so this could make a wonderful homestead for your organic farm… The possibilities are extensive!
