Ooh la la…SOLD!

…baby!!!  25 acres of gorgeous hidden fairy-land, way back behind Morphy Lake.  You must be intrepid to apply, but if you are, you’re in for a big treat.  Accessed by a (very poorly maintained) county road,  17 acres lies on the south side of the road, and 8.5 acres on the north side.   The property is bisected by not only Morphy Creek, but by two diversion ditches, one with irrigation rights.  I was enchanted the moment I stepped out of my truck –  the sweet music of water wending its way over and down small rock waterfalls dominated the peace and quiet of the forest.   Beyond the ditch, large graceful oak groves line a big open meadow filled with  tall lush green grasses.  Fir, aspen and ponderosa pine at this elevation make for the best of a high mountain experience.  It’s paradise, truly. And it’s pretty dadgum close to national forest!  (Please know that my pictures don’t begin to do justice…)

Really, it’s just the end of the road, but for want of a private place – this is the end of the world.  Located in Los Hueros (close to Ocate), this property sits on a plateau – 362 acres of forest and pasture, at the end of County Rd A-004.  The northern end drops off in a rimrock shelf, creating a natural boundary line, overlooking Los Le Febres, a wide open plateau.  Get lost in the trees, or set up on the southern part of the property, in a mix of trees and pasture.     JUST RECEIVED WORD THAT THE PROPERTY WAS ALLOCATED 4 ELK PERMITS – TWO EITHER SEX, AND TWO COWS!

Smaller Budget – Big Dreams? SOLD

Dream big on this 43 acre parcel of land!  If you’re willing to deal with the idea that no one lives next to you (and probably won’t anytime soon) on a long narrow piece of ground, we can fit your budget quite nicely, thank you.   Hide away on this forested tract just north of Lucero (only about 31 miles from LV), and explore a very lightly populated, beautiful area.   This property is located in a transitional zone, with ponderosa pine, piñon and juniper (plus plenty of really cool rock formations). Relatively flat in front (and only 1000 +/-‘ to power) then gently rolling, then up to steeper terrain.  Amazingly, fiber optic internet is available here!  This property is very close to the 197 acre parcel I sent out as my last new listing – but not adjacent.  (Scroll down on the blog to see it if you missed it…)

An oddball  comment here – (just consider the source, and forgive me?).  I felt strangely happy here, a sense of light heartedness beset me as I walked about.  Maybe it’s nothing…maybe it’s not?

Post Script –  Again – I always take my own photos, and  I THINK I’m on the property entirely, but I’m not 100% sure of the boundaries.  The pics are entirely representative of the area, but I can’t guarantee all were exactly on the property…
